XDEL to remove entries from a stream by ID.
The reply counts the entries that were actually removed. Deleting an entry does not touch consumer group state: an entry already delivered stays in a group’s pending entries list until it is acknowledged, so it can still show up in XPENDING after being deleted. Use XDELEX when you need control over those references.
IDs are never reused, so the stream’s ID sequence keeps moving forward after deletions. For bulk cleanup by size or age, XTRIM is the right command.

TCP examples use the TLSREDIS_URL from the Upstash console. REST examples use UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_URL and UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_TOKEN.
